Pickering Interfaces Authorised Economic Operator (AEO)
Pickering Interfaces Ltd is proud to hold both AEO status C and S. As a company, we have strived hard to enhance
our International Supply Chain Safety and Security while also meeting the wide range of criteria set out
by UK Customs Authorities with regards to Compliance. This certification will allow us to trade easier in
the Global Market as a proven, trusted trader going forward.
Pickering Interfaces and REACH
REACH is a new European Union regulation concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and
restriction of Chemicals.
The main aims of REACH:
- To provide a high level of protection of human health and the environment from the use of chemicals.
- To make manufacturers and importers who place chemicals on the market responsible for understanding
and managing the risks associated with their use.
- To help the Chemical Industry and those that use chemicals within the EU market, including the assessment of Chemical hazards.
Scope and Registration
REACH applies to substances manufactured or imported into the EU in quantities of 1 tonne per year or more. Generally, it applies to all individual chemical substances on their own, in preparations or in articles where the substance is deliberately released from an object during use. Details can be found on the European Chemical Agency website: http://guidance.echa.europa.eu/index_en.htm and in the UK on the HSE website: http://www.hse.gov.uk/reach/about.html.Pickering Interfaces does not manufacture or import chemical substances as above registration, and a serious analysis of preparations or other materials is not necessary under the REACH legislation.
